Memo
Parents on the safety of children during the winter holidays

Recommendations for safety when organizing and holding New Year holidays and other events:
• it is forbidden to use candles and firecrackers, fireworks and other light fire hazardous effects that can lead to a fire;
• it is forbidden to use pyrotechnic means (petards, fireworks);
• it is forbidden to dress children in costumes made of flammable materials;
• it is forbidden to use shutters on windows to darken rooms;
• it is forbidden to leave children unattended during New Year's events;
• it is necessary to follow the rules of the road;
• Do not endanger your life by stepping on loose ice in water bodies.
We need to teach children how to behave on the street in winter. Here are the highlights:
• the child needs to remember that it is necessary to put on a hat, mittens and fasten without leaving the house so that cold air does not penetrate under the clothes;
• you can not eat snow and gnaw icicles, touch the metal;
• on the street, walk in the middle of the sidewalk, away from houses, because snow can fall off the roof or an icicle can fall, and in no case should you enter fenced areas; you need to walk along the icy sidewalk in small steps, stepping on the entire sole;
• skating, skiing is allowed only in specially designated areas.
Child safety on the winter road:
“Children are pedestrians” are a special category of road users who sometimes forget about the danger and arrange games on the road. Always remind children of the rules of the road for pedestrians in winter.
Primarily!
• Explain where, when and how to cross the road.
• Explain how dangerous it is to play and ride the slides next to the road.
• Explain to the children that the braking distance of a car is 3 times longer on a winter road.
• Dress children in bright clothes, and it is even better to have reflective flickers on them, remembering that in winter, when it starts to get dark early on the street, drivers may not see the child, as visibility worsens by 2 times.
